Trade This!

draw downs are very large.as you see system already lost most of its capital in open draw down.no stop loss what so ever, how you trade system like this.one can loose their shirt fast in a heart beat.

Trade This!

Very dangerous! This trading system has no protection or stop loss what-so-ever. Risks a lot of money for small profit and or large loss. In this volatile market if it moves opposite to his positions, he will loose it all due to no stop loss and may not be able to recover at all. I was expecting him to be more conservative after two extra ordinary months of profits.

A reply to the Nov 17th reviewer, you are 100% correct, no matter how good the vendors intentions are after a short period he will be proven wrong again and again. Why would anyone want to sell a system that was a consistant winner...

mvp-3

Another bitter lesson on the use of historical data to predict future market moves. There could not be a harder-working vendor, or one more dedicated to keeping his subs informed. Unfortunately, the market often does not act in the deliberate, controlled, way that previous events would predict. The monthly returns above are stark evidence of what the real world gives forth. It's really too bad..I had a lot of hope for this system..and will limp away with a large part of my posterior missing. My view, after being burned by a couple of C2 systems..and seeing my own system fail, and whipsaw..is that I am done with timing systems and will invest heavily in income-producting fixed assets.

The negative reviews are a result of 2 things - poor understanding of autotrading, and a lunkhead who complains that a great free system does not answer emails. Does he want a free house and free million to go with that too? Still young, but this may be one of the best system on C2. Sharpe of almost 7, APD of 1 and 4 straight months of over 23% monthly returns? get real, clueless reviewer...

eQuants Daily7

This replaces my former review. Matt at C2 told me about ITM, which is a nice C2 feature but fairly well-hidden. Watching that, it's now clear the Email delays are wholly an artifact of C2, not the system operators - one mail today didn't actually leave C2's servers until 21 minutes after the first trade it contained. As for the system itself, it has a net loss since I've been watching but again that's too short a time to draw real conclusions. Some trades still don't have PRE-SET stops so that leaves the door open to Murphy's Law calamities.

2X Twin RBT

This is one more system I am disappointed. This vendor refuses to take when he has good profit because of his wide stop loss and take profit orders because of this issue huge profit trade runs into deep loss. He does not adjust his stops when system is in profit or take a loss when trade is going bad.

eQuants Daily7

The couple of 2-star reviews came from people who are manually trading this system. I don't think this system can be traded manually unless you are glued to the ITM window and have the possible trades lined up with your online broker (I did this for a couple of days). Autotrading is the way to go. I've only traded this system for a couple of weeks, but made very good money the first week and about broke even the second week. I believe the system uses internal stops, because it never draws down more than $1K per contract. I would prefer broker stops in case C2 goes down, but I can live with it.

eQuants Daily7

Style is very good and obviously automated. 1 star missing due to length of track record, and what I think are likely issues revolving around the vendor's signal platform having hiccups with the C2 interface.

eQuants Daily7

The creator of this system does not answer emails (at least not mine). I wrote to him, but no answer. The calls come in such a rapid succession that I was not able to follow them.

Ten-strike

If somebody had started trading this system at the time it was re-scaled with the minimum amount of $8,843 he would have already been wiped out.

Daytrade Futures

Another "hold and hope" losing system. Zero discipline, builds confidence after a string of very short and very small gains, and then gambles it all away on "hold and hope" when it goes against him. Adjusts the system description to match the outcome, as if it were designed to do this all along. Caveat Emptor!

Swing it

After losing me $5,038 in one trade, this guy got scared and hasn't traded since 10/06/08. While his system looked promising at first, the acid test is how a system handles losing trades. That is what separates the men from the boys. In that respect, this system fails.

mvp-3

Revised review after the crash... Story book performance destroyed by the market turmoil the past couple of months. Stop-loss order was a disaster. Discretionary trades after the stop-loss were just as bad, maybe worse. Nonetheless, I expect this system to resume profitability soon. Just proceed with caution (hedging via married puts, trailing stop losses, limited capital investment amount etc.)

EXLENCE

I took a look at this system briefly back in the Spring of this year when it was first being introduced to C2 only a few months old. As its equity curve, track record, and overall stats indicate, I believe EXLENCE continues to be one of the shining stars available here at C2. Due to the large number of underlying in its basket, it however might be somewhat more challenging to implement for smaller account sizes (ie. less than $100k capital). -- Aspire Trader

System vendor is honest, hard working and communicates well. Sadly, my fear that no mechanical system works forever is backed up here. After recent turmoil, the system has been tweaked and may be worth monitoring for an upturn in fortunes.

mvp-3

Crashed and burned. too much leverage, stops too wide or none at all. Too much hubris. Back below starting value so all subscribers have lost money.

Merlin

I like these guys, they answer with courtesy to questions on the mailing lists, they explain the moves (whenever possible), they have a long record of happy subscribers and the pace of trading is sustainable. I am not an expert by any mean but i dont think one can ask for much more from a system and a system vendor.

BT2

I don't know what got into him today - very uncharacteristic. Luckily I was managing my positions and kept the loss to about $7K, about half what it otherwise would have been. Until I get a good explanation of what happened and how it can be avoided in the future I naturally will have to stop using this system.

BT2

Today he lost his self control.
